What is efflorescence? The term is generally applied to any white deposit that appears on paving, brickwork or cement. However, the white deposits can be one of many salt types and different products are required to treat them.
If the deposit is fluffy in nature and can be brushed or washed off then it is likely to be sodium based and this is where EASY Efflorescence Remover+ comes in.
EASY Efflorescence Remover+ is a non-acid product that penetrates the substrate to make the salts water-soluable. These can be washed away naturally or removed with a pressure washer. It also helps to neutralise salt stains in new brickwork and paving to give long lasting results. Unlike tradtional acid removers, it does not dissolve the surface and does not attack the substrate.
Azpects Top Tip: Pour water on the White Deposit, if it disappears when wet, it is most likely sodium based efflorescence (salt). If the White Deposit still appears, it is likely that is calcium based (limescale) and will therefore require Mortar Stain & Calcium Remover.
